Two hundred and thirty five years ago today during the Second Continental Congress our founders passed a resolution adopting the flag of the United States. Today let us remember the men and woman who gave of themselves for the cause of freedom. let us give thanks to God for the blessings of Liberty and the men and women who put their lives on the line for it. Our flag is a symbol of freedom, it is a symbol of government by the people for the people. It reminds us daily that we live in the freest country in the world! and that we have been given a great gift. lets make sure we pass this gift down to generations to come!
